Ethel Cain announces new album
Despite already releasing an EP in January, ridiculously talented LGBTQ+ artist Ethel Cain has already announced a follow-up to her 2022 debut album Preacher’s Daughter.
Titled Willoughby Tucker I’ll Always Love You, Ethel Cain announced today (March 24) that the album will be released in August and will set the stage for her next European and North American tour. The upcoming project is expected to extend the narrative arc established in Preacher’s Daughter as the new album’s title appears to be a reference to Cain’s fictional first boyfriend, who was featured on the earlier album.
Her January EP, Perverts, received praise but was a divergence from the existing ‘lore’ in Cain’s music. Cain announced the news on Instagram to coincide with her birthday, writing: “Before everything, there was you. 1986, the year everything changed forever.”
Australia’s Eurovision song is basically a euphemism for cum 💦
The latest artist to enter the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 race has been confirmed, with Australia opting to send a song that’s essentially a euphemism for ejaculation.
Viral TikTok star Go-Jo, real name Marty Zambotto, will bring his song “Milkshake Man” to Basel, Switzerland, for Eurovision 2025 this May. The trancey pop banger is an undeniable earworm, with all the potential to make as much noise online as his 2023 hit, “Mr. Hollywood”.
In the song’s wild lyrics, Go-Jo declares himself the “Milkshake Man” and offers this barely disguised double entendre: “I can tell you want a taste of the milkshake man. Come and take a sip from my special cup. I heard that you could use a little pick-me-up,” goes the song’s opening line. “What can get you high when you’re oh-so sad? It’s the milk from the milkshake man.”
Then, the chorus: “You can call me the milkshake man. I wanna shake and make the whole world dance. They drink my milk all across the land; I can tell you want a taste of the milkshake man.” It’s fair to say the song is full of spunk.
Young Royals get reunited on stage
Young Royals stars Omar Rudberg and Edvin Ryding have reunited almost one year on from the end of the cult queer Netflix series.
During the London stop of Omar Rudberg’s current Every Night Fantasy Tour last night (5 February), fans were treated to arguably the most special guest possible, and during the most pertinent moment of the gig.
As Omar began performing “Simon’s Song”, taken from episode three of season two of Young Royals, his former co-star walked onto the stage from behind him, and took him in for an embrace. Edvin wrapped his arms around Omar’s waist as he attempted to continue singing, but the crowd’s rapturous reaction ended up leaving them both laughing. After collecting themselves, the pair finished the song together, before Edvin ran off stage.
“I am really inspired by sex”: Troye Sivan teases next album
Troye Sivan has shared new details about his next project. Back in 2023, the ‘Bloom’ singer treated fans to his third studio album, Something to Give Each Other. Described as a celebration of “sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love, and friendship,” the record featured 10 immersive pop tracks – including his hit singles ‘Rush’ ‘One Of Your Girls,‘ and ‘Got Me Started.’
Upon its release, the album received universal praise from fans and critics for its unapologetically queer lyrical content, outstanding pop production and Sivan’s vocals. While the album continues to captivate music enthusiasts, Sivan has already set his sights on his new music era.
During the 67th Grammy Awards, Troye revealed to PRIDE that he’s officially working on his fourth studio album – teasing that the upcoming project may include more sexy content. “I am really inspired by sex,” he told the news outlet. “We’re going into the studio tomorrow, literally!“
