Why does god hate me? is a short film about Matthew, a 14-year-old boy living in a very religious town, whose best friend Ester tries to ‘cure’ him of being gay. But a trip to San Francisco shows Matthew that he might not be the one who needs curing.

  1. I’m no spring chicken anymore, I’ve been around – a lot! But I still cannot get my head around people who can’t, or won’t, think for themselves! Especially the parents and other bigoted a**holes in this film, who go around claiming to be Christians but who act entirely contrary to the teachings of Christ, espousing nothing but hate and, intentionally or otherwise, encouraging violence, discrimination and all sorts of other evils! And, what makes it even worse, they are listening to preachers, so-called men of God, who are picking and choosing whatever parts of the bible suit their own deviant, and evil, purposes! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the rights and wrongs of relying on stone age/bronze age mythology and subsequent heavy-duty editing and redaction by the Church of Rome in order to attain and promote their own myth, their own power base, and all this just to satisfy their greed and lust, for power, for money, for control and manipulation of the masses, i.e. entirely and utterly about their own self-interest! The whole thing is, literally, insane! As for the young lad in this short, he up and left the abusive environment he grew up in at the age of 14. Good on him – it took me until I was 17 to do the same. Best move I ever made!

From pope Leo X — It has served us well, this myth of Christ.

And you just stated the REAL purpose of “religions” [chrisssssstianity in this case]. “god/jesus christ” are just distractions from their real purposes and have nothing to do with their bullshit. That’s why they are [and have always been, really] — Socio-Political Ideologies [SPIs]

      1. OK, so I believe in the one true and living God, but I am NOT one of ‘those’ people.
If any of my children had come out to me as LGBT mom and I would have been fine with that. Even if they had decided to leave holy Church for another denomination, I would have sadly but grudgingly accepted even that.
The only unpardonable sin, so grave, so pernicious, so corrosive to all virtues and values, that they would never dare admit it to me or their mother, would be to register as Democrats and vote accordingly. Such an affront is beyond all human understanding and any capacity to forgive.

        1. “OK, so I believe in the one true and living God, but I am NOT one of ‘those’ people.”

That very admittance proves you ARE one of “those” people — just by the fact that of saying you believe makes you one of those lunatics. And I’ve told you dozens of times, stop your outright LIES by ignorantly including the concept of real truth and the total idiocy of any “god.”

And to further prove your lunacy, you put down American Democrats. When the fuck are you going to actually LEARN ANYTHING?

  2. When you say “very religious town,” it’s helpful to specify WHICH religion. Matthew wouldn’t have such struggles in a very progressive Quaker town or a Wiccan one (if such a thing exists) for example.

  3. Good Video, there are a million of these stories, everyone of them should be told. And it helps when a cute guy plays the lead too.

  4. cool film, but would obsessive religious parents really let their kid have such a gay haircut?
