Timothée Chalamet is back (and hungry) in the first trailer for Bones and All, a romantic horror thriller from Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino coming out next month. Timothée is portraying Lee, a serial killer who falling in love with Maren (played by Taylor Russell), a runaway on the margins of society who shares Lee’s taste for human flesh.
To the score of Leonard Cohen’s amazing You Want It Darker, the trailer shows scenes of the couple’s trek across 1980’s America, driving through picturesque open plains and pouncing on any unsuspecting prey unfortunate enough to cross their path.
There are a surprising number of film on the topic of cannibalism but Bones and All seems to be going the Natural Born Killers route, with Lee and Maren attempting to maintain their relationship despite the obvious violence and emotional volatility of its foundations. We’ll have to see how fate fares for the two lovers when the film premieres in theatres on November 23.
