What is it like to grow up as a transgender teen? This short film, Silent T, is an incredibly inspirational, heartfelt film about the struggle and social injustice some trans people face. It has recently won Best Drama at the world’s largest student film festival, Campus Moviefest.

“if only more could not only listen but actually hear…”

I think you meant to say: if only more could not only hear but actually listen…

“Nope but thanks for your useless input.”

It’s sad that you feel that intelligence is such a “useless input.” To Wit:

          Hear and Listen to:

Hear– you do this without thinking. It is inactive.
Example- When I leave my home every morning, I hear Penboy because I prefer to put him down instead of learn anything.

Listen to- this is an active word. You must think about what you are doing.
Example- I really should listen to Penboy when he tells me about my errors.

  1. Nicely done, and it hopefully will be useful in making a few people be more tolerant of others.

Just as many people don’t understand what it’s like to be gay, I don’t truly understand what it’s like to be transgender, but that doesn’t mean we can’t accept them and love them as they are.

  2. I have never been a fan of poetry, but this poetry is an exception. I find it uplifting and sad at the same time. The poetry invokes so many emotions. It deserves any and all awards it received.
