  1. Are these statues sex objects ? Or merely new orders out of some other order. these of some mineral, of the materials and energies from / off the earth ending up from the chaos ? — The humor in these pictures is not lost. — Are you a sex object for thinking of these statues sexually ? Or are the statues merely sex objects of their creators ? Do not think that thinking of something sexual / sexually is other than making the thinker and the thought about other than each / both being sexual objects. Becoming subjects upon a writing about them. SEX OBJECT ? Even many of the insane and senile mindlessly aim their hand some where in particular.

  2. Does it count as body dysphoria that I get this strong feelings seeing a foreskin and wished I had one? Is it a similar feeling to trans people seeing the body they want on someone else?

  3. The top original sculpture is so aesthetically beautiful to take my breath away. The others not so much but polical and funny.

  4. If I am not mistaken, this is “Shepherd Boy” by the great Danis sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. In this, as in many of his works, he shows how beautiful a boy can be.

    1. I think you’re missing the point, all of these statues have had “clothing” added to them. LOL Obviously a “photo edit”!

  5. Thorvaldsen carved the Shepherd Boy at least five times. I’ve photographed three of them. There are two versions in the UK. The one used for the retouched exercise is in the Thorvaldsen Museum in Copenhagen. Thorvaldsen never married but he was once engaged. For reasons no one knows the marriage was called off at the last moment. She returned a portrait he done of her, torn in half, it’s still in the archives of the Thorvaldsen Museum.
