Sweet, sweet babyface and prince on ice Yuzuru Hanyu had quite the year. But doesn’t he always? He’s still being the cutest, he’s still breaking world records left and right and that the only two people who seem to be able to–somewhat–keep up with his pace are his closest friends doesn’t hurt the mood either.

Shoma Uno’s Free Skate at the 2018 Japanese Nationals

An injured Shoma Uno captured his third straight title in decisive fashion at the Japan championships earlier this week.

The Olympic and world silver medalist, who has won all three of his senior Japan crowns in the absence of Yuzuru Hanyu, started slowly in his free skate to “Moonlight Sonata” but picked up the pace as his program progressed to triumph by nearly 50 points over Daisuke Takahashi.

Shoma Uno might still look somewhat small next to Hanyu and his style is not yet as refined but he’s not only visibly excited to be on the ice, he’s also quite exciting to watch as you can see in the videos below.
