Why? Oh, there’s so many reasons… Sleeping naked keeps your body cooler than sleeping in clothes, obviously, but it’s that slight temperature difference that can lead to deeper, more restful, and uninterrupted sleep.

It’s not the only benefit to sleeping naked though. Sleeping naked can be especially good for reproductive health as well, it can minimise the chance of infections, it helps  with keeping the testicles cool and avoid low sperm count.

Of course, sleeping naked has other benefits, especially if you have a partner, as skin-to-skin contact is not only therapeutic, but a great form of medicine for both your mind and your body. Touching helps you build a stronger emotional bond with your partner, and kicks off the release of oxytocin in your brain, which helps regulate mood. The video below goes into a little more detail about each of these.

  1. unfortunately in warmer climes, sleeping nude gives you the opportunity to make passionate love to mosquitoes every night.

    1. “opportunity to make passionate love to mosquitoes”

I like that!! Funny! Or, the opportunity for mosquitoes to make passionate love to you. :-)

  2. I don’t care so much about all the above benefits, the feeling of sleeping in freshly washed bed sheets alone is worth it, especially real linen fabric in summer, which becomes very soft as it ages, or flannel (brushed cotton) in cold autumns and winters, or even thick pima cotton or a rough 2-ply high thread cotton.

Of course, if you want to keep that feeling for longer, have a shower in the evening too, or it will soon smell more like fresh sweat…

Screen windows, mesh curtains or mosquito nets are a must these days if you want to enjoy sleeping naked, especially with the recent invasion of tiger mosquitoes.

    1. One of life’s simple pleasures is slipping into a freshly made bed at the end of a hard day

  3. “and avoid low sperm count.”

Why would a 13 – 18 y.o. care if he’s masturbating and/or having other sex every 6 hours of his life during this time? :-)

And, for the act of gay sex, what would that matter — unless you categorizing it only as a “flavor [added]”? :-)

“The average ejaculation contains close to 100 million sperm; according to the World Health Organization”

[But not so much in what you typically see on the Internet for those ages {approximate}.]

    1. Who said anything about 13-18 year olds? Sperm count is important for plenty of gay men who wish to have a child via donor insemination, as well as bisexuals who want to have a child with a woman

  4. Been sleeping naked since I was a teenager, been going ‘commando’ since I was 16. I know underwear can be sexy, and I don’t care. I keep a couple pairs of tighty-whiteys in the dresser for when going to the doctor – just in case.

  5. As i was raised in a nudist household, and was the oldest of my siblings of both sexes it wasn’t really an issue.
