  1. I will simply await the forthcoming tour-de-force by HorseLips and then, as always, have a good laugh.

      1. @Steve T: “How soon before one of these states pass a LBGT registration list.”

@Dan: “As soon as they can raise that strange flag with a well known funny cross…”

Even though both of you may have been trying some sort of “humor”, both of you may not know just how “on the mark” both of you are with your comments.

I just finished watching a somewhat “old” documentary called, How Hitler Lost The War.

It presented some commanders and others who were somewhat “close” to Adolf Hitler and “how” (that’s a question we’re still asking ourselves) he came to the final decisions he did about commanding the war with Britain and Russia when he had numerous options to defeat us (the Allies) on several levels.

The relationship of Hitler to the populace of Germany just after WWI (1918) through WWII (1944) amazingly (?) parallels ISIL/ISIL/al-qaeda/muslim brotherhood (and all those with same ideology) relationships with their “populace” throughout the middle east and north Africa.

If you can get this 1-hour documentary, through your library or wherever, I recommend watching it and paying attention to the same ideas and methods of these extreme (and even moderate) religious idiots share.

  2. Arkansas turns LGBT-discrimination into a law

Oklahoma wants to punish people marrying gays

Kentucky senator proposes bounty on trans kids

    Bible belt states?

Canada’s surveillance bill kills any pretence of privacy

A huge black mark on Canada.

    1. Canada’s bill also reference’s Bill C-52, the bill that allows police warrantless cyber-spying. (As per the summary; cyber-crimes subsection specifically lists C-52 as being a part of this bill.)

Sad to see the Oklahoma bill.

  3. FINLAND > Already an improvement over PolPost#6 – we start with taking one step forward.

SLOVENIA > And we take another step forward.

ARKANSAS > And there’s our one step back. Relax. It’s still a long way from law, and passing muster in the courts.

OKLAHOMA > American States are unlike the provinces, districts, shires, or subdivisions in any other country. Here we have the concept of limited State sovereignty, a tradition of “States’ Rights” which is so strong we had a rather unpleasant civil war over where States’ Rights begin and end. We kinda sorta solved the issues of secession and slavery, nevertheless, the unpleasantness continues. Every state has its own Constitution, and its own laws regarding just about everything, including marriage, gun control, recreational drug use, and other hot button issues. For example, several states have passed laws threatening state and local officials with arrest and prosecution if they assist federal officials in any way to enforce federal gun control within their state. Montana has gone so far as to exempt local firearms manufacturers from compliance with any federal regulations regarding weapons made and sold in Montana. My own state, Arizona, is seriously considering several bills of ‘resistance legislation’ to Federal infringement on States Rights. Washington, Colorado and Alaska have passed laws allowing recreational use of marijuana in direct opposition to federal statutes, and they are daring the Feds to do anything about it. It has been discerned by the cognoscenti that if only 10 states ignore a federal law, that law is unenforceable, and becomes null and void. Until the Supreme Court began the process of incorporating the Bill Of Rights to the nation as a whole, some states, Connecticut for example, until 1818, actually had an established state religion. After all, they claimed, the First Amendment only bars Congress from establishing a religion, not the several states. So, what about Oklahoma and gay marriage? Well, as an American, and a Libertarian, I’ll take the position that it’s a states’ rights issue. Historically, the courts have had much more success in enforcing stuff than the Congress or the Administration, so, I’ll see you in court. Right now, this is maybe a half-step back.

    LATVIA > Another half-step forward. Hey, we’re moon-walking!

KENTUCKY > OK, here’s where I pull my pants down and stick my ass in a pillory for all you guys to kick. I don’t buy the whole transgender thing. You is what you is, you got what you got, and how you feel about it is your mental problem not mine. You don’t need a surgeon, you need a shrink. I have a son and like most guys, I’m sure he would have been happy to have the ladies use his high school restroom, especially if they’re hot. What high school boy doesn’t fantasize and vigorously wank about coed locker rooms and showers? I sure did, if only to see what would happen in a steamy, soapy shower full of naked teenagers. But I also have a daughter, and if I caught a guy trying to sneak into her high school restroom, he might have gotten himself killed. For sure, he’d have at least ended up the ER, with a wide assortment of irreparable injuries. And no court in the country would’ve convicted me for it either.

UK MONITORING > Both the UK and the USA have experienced the problem of attorneys doing more than defending their clients – they’ve been caught acting as couriers to the terrorist groups the defendants belonged to. This illegal monitoring thing happens because lawyers abused their privileges first. Can’t we all just behave? Sadly, no, we can’t.

HIV VACCINE > Yay! Keep up the good work.

CANADA SURVEILLANCE > Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we practice to…protect. Canada, like every other free country, will have to resolve the issue of privacy in its own way.

USA DROPS > Obama is a progressive, and inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out. So, whataya expect? However, take heart – the simultaneous existence of, and free access to, Rachel Maddow and Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and Free Speech TV, NPR, PBS, the BBC and Al Jazeera, of a bazillion blogs of every political persuasion available over an uncensored, free Internet, tells me free speech and freedom of the press is doing just fine. The reporters who have been hassled were accused of assorted misbehaviors regarding national security and civil disobedience. Just because you get a job with the press doesn’t mean you are above the law, and your obligations as a citizen. But, if you still think your press is oppressed, you have 48 better places to live to choose from. Pack your bags. Good riddance. Don’t let the door hit you in the….

NSA BACKDOORS > Benjamin Franklin warned us that those who give up essential freedom for a little security will have neither, and deserve neither. Far be it from me to argue with a Founding Father, so lets just say that his was an easier position to take back then, and nowadays, it’s not so simple. In a high tech war against high tech terrorism, privacy can be as much our enemy as it is our friend. But the real problem, and the cause of all our distress, is the civilized world’s reluctance (cowardice) to mobilize and gather all its military strength for a final Crusade against Islamo-fascist terrorism. Polls taken in the Muslim world reveal a somewhat alarming, widespread support for Islamic terrorism, ranging from 16% of Muslims in France, to clear majorities of 60-70% in Pakistan, Morocco, and the Palestinian Authority, with full-blown radicalization among the other Islamic societies falling some where in between. We’d have to kill about 400,000,000 Muslims, which should be just enough to get the attention of the others. Sounds like a plan. Then we wouldn’t need all this surveillance. But we should still keep the TSA in our airports, after all, for some, booking a flight is their only hope of ever getting felt up.

POLICE TORTURE > Welcome to Chicago, that wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party. Here we go again, “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.” Chicago’s insane mayor, Rahm Emanuel, is a bona-fide, blue ribbon, prize winning, poster boy totalitarian-progressive. Stay away. Besides, everybody knows you can’t get a real pizza in Chicago.

I don’t buy the whole transgender thing. You is what you is, you got what you got, and how you feel about it is your mental problem not mine. You don’t need a surgeon, you need a shrink.

Point is YOU don’t have to buy into it. It’s the one living with it that damn well knows who he or she is inside, no matter how much you would spit on them. By the way, I certainly hope your kid never brings a boyfriend to your home. After all, the first thing you think of him is him busy having a hard on for girls!

“Point is YOU don’t have to buy into it. It’s the one living with it that damn well knows who he or she is inside, no matter how much you would spit on them.”

❦Rare as it is I have to agree with Old Dan in this regard.
Though I’ve seen hints of Horselips antipathy towards transgenders before its never been so in your face as here. Considering milkboys mission statement I’d think he’d be a touch more sensitive or at least not so negatively vocal towards them as a whole.
Being transgender or identifying it is not a new phenomenon even in North America, the Native Americans prior to Western influence had names for transgenders and many tribes freely accepted them though it was of course frowned upon by their foreign visitors and sadly as we can see here still is.

        If interested I found this:

        1. Transitions. That’s the title of a Law & Order SVU episode playing now. It’s about a transgender teen who tried to kill her dad!

        2. @devilena: “Rare as it is I have to agree with Old Dan in this regard.”

          @Dan: “You are evolving!”

Dan: Yes, but we’ll need to wait another million years or more for devilena to evolve into any Homo erectus ….. and that’s before we find any skeletal/fossil remains of such to declare a logical find! :-)

    2. @ horselips

      No truer words ever spoken:

“Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”

Liberals simply HAVE to impose their will on the chattering classes because we are too socially and politically retarded to know what is best for society at large.

Matt Drudge routinely refers to Rahm Emmanuel as the “Godfather” with good reason.

    3. Good post I suppose, from a fairly typical conservative American perspective, Horsey I especially liked your description as to how American States differ from most other provincial or territorial regions elsewhere in the world. The USA was formed with a different mindset, using ideologies of freedom to the extreme, and many from other areas of the world fail to understand this. However, on the subject of gender nonconformity, I believe you need to use your imagination:

“I have a son and like most guys, I’m sure he would have been happy to have the ladies use his high school restroom, especially if they’re hot. What high school boy doesn’t fantasize and vigorously wank about coed locker rooms and showers?”

Well, I can well imagine your son might be happy until said hot lady stepped up to the urinal, unzipped her fly and used it with her gender-nonconforming equipment. ( On the other hand, perhaps he Would like it. ;-D )

“But I also have a daughter, and if I caught a guy trying to sneak into her high school restroom, he might have gotten himself killed. For sure, he’d have at least ended up the ER…”

Yeah, a guy that would invade the Ladies’ room needs to be kicked in the cojones for sure… oh wait a minute, why didn’t he go down convulsing in pain from that kick? Maybe because he doesn’t have any?

Hey, if a lot of heteros can imagine some people are attracted to others of their same gender and accept them even though they really don’t understand them, then I suppose gay and bi people like myself can offer the same level of acceptance and respect.
