  1. re: 8 US states still ban discussion of gay issues in school

I’m curious as to how they defend these laws after last year’s Supreme Court ruling on state bans of same-sex marriage.

How do you say to very curious children and teens who ask, that homosexuals are bad and should not be allowed to be discussed in school if all 50 States allow them to marry each other?

How are they going to “ban” public displays of affection (pda) between same sexes when they are legally allowed to (court, be romantic) marry each other out of love?

    1. Here’s an example: Loving vs. Virginia, the 1967 unanimous supreme court ruling that allowed interracial couples to marry in the US.

Despite the ruling, several states continued to prosecute interracial couple for a number of years before changing their laws. At the extreme, Alabama (who would have guessed) only amended its laws in the year 2000

it’s all about what they can get away with. Do you really think all gay teens (and their parents) have the time and resources to go up against local/county/state school districts?

  2. re: American anti-trans bathroom bills could authorize teachers to demand to see their students naked

This country needs so badly a prominent politician like our President, Vice-President or similar to stand at a podium in Washington DC and publicly state our Republican Congresses and Senates throughout America are just plainly STUPID.

  3. AMERICAN TRANNIES > The bathrooms aren’t so much the problem – boys who make believe they’re girls can always use a stall – that’s all they have in girls’ bathrooms, and girls smitten with penis envy can use a stall in the boys’ restroom. Nobody has to see a thing. Too bad, I like to watch. The problem is locker rooms – having nude boys strolling around amongst nude girls is, for many girls, a micro-aggression against their safe space. And having nude chicks wandering around a locker room full of naked boys is just … crazy. So, for now, I would appreciate transgendered folks rising above their feelings now and then and just go with the flow until they’ve had the surgery and they actually look the part.

8 STATES BAN > Worcester v Georgia (1832) – “John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it!” -President Andrew Jackson.
Jackson, with surpassing brevity, made clear that the Supreme Court was just one branch of government, co-equal but not superior to the other two branches, and Chief Justice Marshall could shove his decision up his … you get the idea. Here in America, the several states have certain rights and prerogatives, encapsulated in the 10th Amendment of the Constitution, whereby any powers not specifically granted the federal government are reserved to the states, or to the people. Regarding schoolhouse discussion of LGBT issues, relax, it’s all going to be OK. Time is on our side.

BOY ON FIRE > Sad. Painful.

POPE FRANCIS > Baby-steps. Relax, the Holy Father has already gone a lot further with this issue than any of his predecessors. It will take a complete re-interpretation of the applicable Scriptures to go any farther. Send your cards and letters to The Congregation For The Doctrine Of The Faith in Rome. (FYI, the CDF was formerly the Holy Office, before that, the Holy Inquisition. (gulp!)

SHOTS IN BERLIN > Germany is a mess right now, no telling who did this, but you know, Muslims act on their hatred for gays more than anybody else, and Germany is crawling with Muslim migrants, many of whom are already radicalized. I’ve seen elsewhere on the Internet that recruitment for ISIS is carried on openly throughout the country, and that German police, like their comrades in Britain, France, Belgium and Sweden, avoid many parts of many cities. Missing the Hohenzollerns yet?

UK SURVEILLANCE > “The solution to 1984 is 1776.” – Alex Jones, (in a rare, lucid moment.) Lock & Load.

TODDLER KILLERS > “From my cold, dead hands!” – NRA President Charleton Heston. Hey Libs, want my guns? “Molon Labe.” (“Come and take them”) – King Leonidas to the Persian emissary, demanding the Spartans surrender their weapons at Thermopylae. NOTE: There are only about 1,233 guns left on my wish list, but right now, I’d settle for the top 5. Unless I win the lottery … aw c’mon, I can dream, can’t I?

ISP SKY > Next time you’re asked to make an “unavoidable decision,” fucking make it, or don’t bitch when it’s made for you. Pay attention.

CASHLESS SOCIETY > Regarding history’s mediums of exchange, we’ve been through the Age of Barter, the Age of Precious Metals, the Age of Paper Money, and the Age of Credit. Welcome to the Information Age. Be afraid, and be very careful. I like cash. Lots of people do. I don’t think any politician could survive the next election if he tried to ban it.

PORN AND BAD SEX > “Moderation in all things.” – Hesiod, and later, Plautus. Man is first and foremost two things, tied, a spiritual being, and a sexual being. We like to watch. Get over it. And there’s no such thing as bad sex. There’s better sex of course, and there’s the best sex you ever had, but as long as everybody gets off, you didn’t get caught, and nobody gets hurt or arrested, it’s all good.

    1. The problem is locker rooms – having nude boys strolling around amongst nude girls is, for many girls, a micro-aggression against their safe space. And having nude chicks wandering around a locker room full of naked boys is just … crazy.

The only thing you said that was accurate is crazy. The likelihood of vaginas walking around penises and/or penises walking around vaginas in locker rooms is just that: crazy. … so unlikely that there just isn’t any reason to create legislation to “prevent” something so ludicrous. Besides, we already have “rules” to cover this: social etiquette.

    2. horsey:

While you’re correct in Worcester v. Georgia and a portion of President Jackson’s response … but your interpretation [in general] is incorrect.

RRRIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGG! Civics class now in session!

President Andrew Jackson, with surpassing brevity, made clear that the Supreme Court was just one branch of government, co-equal but not superior to the other two branches

Maybe it’s that brevity that got you confused? The U.S. Supreme Court:

      1. Interprets laws/legislation and can overturn what either Congress or the Presidency enacts. Most recent example: Every States’ legislative ban on same-sex marriage. Neither the President nor U.S. Congress can do this on a Statewide level after the States have made the legislation via their Congresses or by popular votes. I’d say that makes Supreme Court “more superior” to the others.

      2. Has overturned States’ sovereignty in so many areas — Educational, Social, Financial, and even Voter laws. Case in point: Bush v. Gore. The Supreme Court overrode Florida’s RE-COUNT law in a General Election — FORCING by law Florida to STOP THEIR RECOUNT (even though on Florida’s books, they must still recount until a certain date) and awarded the U.S. Presidency to George Bush without precedent thereby handing the Presidential branch an internal coup d’etat**. We can only be “thankful” that George Bush, Dick Cheney, et. al., were just too damn STUPID [or afraid] to know what to actually do with a coup d’etat.

While the Supreme Court was created “equally”, it’s pretty obvious that a branch that can override the other 2 branches rates it just a bit more than “equal”.

** Read Scalia: A Court of One (2014), Chapter 15: Bush v. Gore to fully understand this and how it all developed.

      1. The courts have an easy time of making some issues federal cases under the commerce clause and the preamble, and certainly federal elections are ‘ prima facie’ a federal issue. The courts are also allowed to enforce the 10th Amendment when applicable – making sure that rights belonging to the people aren’t hijacked by the federal or state governments -ie: abortion, gay rights, and gun rights. The federal government’s powers end where states’ rights begin, and the state government’s powers end where the people’s natural rights begin.

But the simple fact is the Congress is by far the most powerful branch of the federal government, it alone having the constitutional power to remove both the president and judges at its sole discretion.

The good news is while you’re an idiot, thanks to me, you’re not an ignorant idiot. The genius evident in my posts has often encouraged you to research, read and learn. You’re welcome.

        1. “But the simple fact is the Congress is by far the most powerful branch of the federal government, it alone having the constitutional power to remove both the president and judges at its sole discretion.

At its “discretion”? No, I would say at their “agreed upon’ [voted] obligation if and when another branch is found to be acting against their oath of office.

But I will concede that our Constitution doesn’t allow for specifics regarding these things and leaves to much to “chance”. A good example of this: “natural born citizenship” with regard to a certain person running for Presidency this election cycle.

  4. We are human. We are not monkeys nor apes. We have no regular sex relations with our pet cats nor dogs, however much we like them, such as retail children, that I am aware of. We as a species do make bridges, cars, buildings, cities, states, as some examples of what we actually do. We also foul up. We do make fools, we of & of others, we go to war, entrant ruin, evoke horror, as well as we make whatever is real, trash from our work and erects from our labors. Men and Women reciprocate so 8 billion existents result, as we now have them accounting, straight, gay, whatevers. Aristotle says you speak words and put it in writing so you know you as a human. The Phoenicians put it in writing and create book keeping. Plato says you know as a human so you can do as a human versus an animal. I am an exemplicant but also a human. This a brief form of all this all. I love boh and want boh. Love is the reason. Sense or not. No animal desiring from me. I desire that boh, a human male white boh.

    1. “We are human. We are not monkeys nor apes.”

Sorry you’re coming to class too late. We are IN FACT, part “monkeys and apes” [chimpanzees, more accurately] and they are, as well, part “human.” .You have some catching up to do in Biology.

Btw, do you know a primary reason Humans’ arm length (with hands) are the SAME [RELATIVE] LENGTH as all Primates?

    2. You haven’t met Penboy. He’s not just a monkey, he has nieces and nephews and that makes him a money’s uncle. (And even if he doesn’t have any nieces or nephews, he’s still a monkey’s uncle. )

  5. I am not a monkey nor an ape. I am able to talk and write and compute. I may be physically a lot of similarities, as I walk as does any spider, rat, ape, and / or a roach, and I grow up as any tree, bush, dandelion and any other growing bio. I am not any of them a similar nor some sort of equal. I am a self making human being. Maybe you need to learn biology. The human being is merely similar but not the same. The reality is that similarity is not the same as familiarity nor even if VERY similar nor familiar. The distinctive is quite real and relevance is real. Please also note that roaches are never ‘wrong’.. Only human beings can be right, or wrong, or incorrect, or speak at all even if irrelevantly. Human Beings may have legs, as do bugs have legs, and have similar arms comparing to apes or other arms, whatever. The arms are similar by comparison by any measurement, but are not the relevance. Humans speak to each other, interpret, see, figure, do this and that and and fail or not and whatever else. Such is what we do as humans. Apes speak not and cannot fail any more nor less than a roach. There is no there there for them to fail at. Get to late class biology and ancient and also modern epistemology and get to class for reality. Idiotic drunk pot cocaine heroin defuncts do not qualify.

    1. “I am not a monkey nor an ape.” Yes you are … just like the remaining human population, whether you like it or not — you’re just EVOLVED more so [we’ll assume]. But if you prefer to be specific, it’s more bonobos and/or chimpanzees that we’re all so similar to.

“I am able to talk and write and compute.” Well, as an EVOLVED primate, you can talk and write, but I beg to differ of your “computing skills” if you can’t even see the obvious after looking into any mirror.

“I am a self making human being.” Again, NO YOU’RE NOT. Your PARENTS fucked and “made you.” I might “apologize” for being “crass,” but you insist on coming here and spouting reliigous bullshit.

“Maybe you need to learn biology.” Really? You’re THAT stupid?
“The arms are similar by comparison by any measurement, but are not the relevance.” Uh, yeah it is. And you still haven’t answered my question directly.

“Humans speak to each other, interpret, see, figure, do this and that and and fail or not and whatever else.” So do Primates, in their “own language.” ” Apes speak not” I just pointed out that they in fact, DO … as do pretty much every animal.

“Idiotic drunk pot cocaine heroin defuncts do not qualify.”
And that’s what proves YOUR utter STUPIDITY.

    2. One last thing: … “Get to late class biology and ancient and also modern epistemology and get to class for reality.”

PROVE ME WRONG WITH NON-RELIGIOUS SOURCES (and reputable science sources). Otherwise, STFU.

  6. I post these comments to help out our up and coming LGBT teen population so that when they get to adulthood, they’re not spouting the same religious bullshit that your parents, church people and many communities keep doing just to maintain both religious PRIVILEGE and CONTROL. You should be smarter than the last generation (horsey’s).

  7. re: American anti-trans bathroom bills could authorise teachers to demand to see their students naked

So, where can I sign up for Boys Bathroom Patrol (BBP)? Hell, I can carry a bible just as well as any of those crazies.
