  1. re: Putin’s party launches a “straight pride” flag

The design of that flag is pathetic. Sorry, Putin and the rest of homophobic Russia, but you really do need a gay person designing your flag. There’s a very good reason there are so many gays in the fashion field. So, get with it, already!

  2. re: Australian PM about to break equality vote promise?

Why am I not surprised at the very least? You Aussies come on here and continually try to tell us (Americans, at least) that your country is so much more “progressive.” Really? You appear have a very different view of “progressive” that most of the rest of the world.

    .

And: “They instead want the Australian people to vote on the issue separate to national elections – something that would cost millions of dollars in tax payers dollars and would not bind lawmakers to pass the reform even if the ‘Yes’ camp were successful.”

Hmmmm …… “professional writers” for whatever media that statement comes from? That’s what I might call “professional redundancy” of words/description. How about this (free advice):
“– something that would cost millions of tax payers dollars …”

Yes, I make many mistakes, but if I were writing for a professional media, I would do better editing (or it would be edited for me) before publication …. you know, since I’d be getting paid for it.

    1. ‘You Australian’s.’ Which Australians, when? I think there’s been comments about America’s issues sure. You can name a problem when you see it in someone else’s yard & not be a hypocrite about it though – you just have to admit it when it’s in your yard too.

There’s a joke about Australia being 10 years behind America, if so Abbott is our Bush Jr.
A man who in scraping the barrel to find arguments to try to oppose renewable energy decries the profitable windfarms the previous government funded as ‘ugly & noisy’.

He’s on a last gasp at trying to delay gay marriage. Struggling to keep his own Conservative party in line he figures he just might be able to appear to “defuse” the “controversial” issue by putting it to a referendum (a plebiscite being the close cousin of which), which has a high bar to pass – 2/3rd of the population + also 2/3rds of the states are needed.

The fact that he’s polling in the coming election towards a worse than mirror image result of what he gained government with 1-2 years ago & that popular opinion on marriage indicates even with a referendum it’d likely get in should say something.

I tell you what though, when it comes to government as-is, I’d rather have federal level anti-discrimination laws regarding employment and housing on lawful sexual activity & universal, free health-care than “marriage equality” any day.

  3. re: Jimmy Carter: US an Oligarchy with unlimited bribery

Very, VERY TRUE. But this should have been “news” at least 60 years ago (and probably even earlier).

I’d like to edit and change one word in this sentence by Carter:

“So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and usually get favors for themselves after the election’s over. ”

And this doesn’t just apply to “elected politicians” ….. it’s also the absolute root of churches and their religions.

      1. “Ooops. …. Sorry, daveboy …. forgot to ask, Am I off topic with this?”

Certainly not. In this case, you were on topic. However there’s no reason to get sarcastic with me here.

When you post off-topic comments to posts on the blog which have little or nothing to do with the subject in question, you can expect to get called out on doing so.

I fail to understand why it is you aren’t on the new board and contributing to the conversation there. Did Josh ban you?

  4. Adding to “Other News”:

I’m a little surprised you didn’t post something about that popular lion, “Cecil” being baited from a National Park in Zimbabwe and hunted twice: first to bait him out of the park and being shot with a cross-bow arrow and then being hunted again to be shot with his rifle and as if that wasn’t enough, Cecil was decapitated so that this asshole “hunter” could put the head on his wall to brag that he was a “big game hunter.”

    1. Btw, this asshole “big game hunter” is now in hiding in that country and Zimbabwe officials are trying to find him to extradite this lunatic back so he will face punishment. He also closed his dentistry office where he lives.

      1. “Btw, this asshole “big game hunter” is now in hiding in that country …..”

Now this is off topic. Besides, it’s been plastered all over every major TV network and newspaper worldwide. Only the most uninformed haven’t seen this news.

  5. Actor amazed by impact of gay story line on The Fosters

I guess a lot of people missed the real message of that First Kiss. It never had anything with just being gay. It’s about kids finding the courage to be themselves no matter what the people around them think. You are a nerd? Be a proud nerd. You are a straight A student? Your friends aren’t and find you boring? It’s their problem, not yours. You are deeply religious? No problem. An atheist? Again, no problem. BE! Just BE and fuck the world. That is the true message of that First Kiss.

People are so busy telling others who they should be but never looking at themselves. They just don’t realize the damage they are doing.

    1. @Old Dan:
“I guess a lot of people missed the real message of that First Kiss. It never had anything with just being [“gay”].” [There’s a reason I put gay in quotes.]

Just what is that “real message”? That 2 boys like and find each other attractive and wish to show their emotional expression of that attraction — which in this case is 2 boys?

I didn’t misunderstand you, and everything you said is correct about “being yourself”, but in this case and any other case of boys desiring to express their fondness for each other, this is what we are now calling “gay” …. at this moment in time. If a boy and girl do this, it’s not being “gay” but to societies in general, just “normal”. If 2 girls do this, even though it’s more accepting in our societies than when 2 boys do it, it’s still “gay” for them, anyway …. at this moment in time. And if these same-sex couples decide to change and take on an opposite sex partner, then it’s no longer, “gay,” but “normal” (again), no matter how much we sugar coat it.

“The real message of that First Kiss” isn’t as “innocent” as you would like to believe or desire to be — in our societies to date. No, this was a “gay” kiss — otherwise, why did they do it in a “private” bedroom and not in a more social room in that house … or even more publicly (like outside or even in their school)?

“BE! Just BE and fuck the world. That is the true message of that First Kiss.”
Well, not exactly. Because it still needed to be hidden from the others.

I know that’s the way you [and I] want it to be, but for the most part, it isn’t to be that very positive message — yet, anyway.

But, here’s the good part of what you posted: With America now making same-sex marriage legal in all 50 States (and maybe our territories as well, like Puerto Rico and Guam?), our Supreme Court just made it not just legal throughout, but also inevitable, for same sexes to show public affection and there’s nothing that anyone opposing this can do about it. And there is [and will be] no [legal] exception for any ages. So, after some time, your statement will come “true” as it should be.

    2. @Old Dan:
“I guess a lot of people missed the real message of that First Kiss. It’s about kids finding the courage to be themselves no matter what the people around them think.”

It’s about a hell of a lot more than “the courage to be themselves.” It was two-faceted:

…. 1) It shows in reality that both boys and girls at 11-13 years are/becoming sexual beings and need to express their own sexual desires, even in the “smallest” (or “public”) ways …
…. 2)Pointing out the hipocracy of America of not accepting a younger same-sex teen relationship including physical expressions of affection towards each other …

The first one is fairly obvious to anyone who truthfully remembers being those ages and having their first crushes and/or loves (romantic boy-/girl-friends).

And the second one is equally important [maybe more?] in today’s America (primary example) — in this same episode with a same age character, the Connor character was making out (talk about tonsil hockey!) with his “girlfriend”, Daria — and both of them are supposed to be the same age. So, why was no one talking about the 13-yo boy-girl slobfest, but everyone seemed to have a negative opinion about the boy-boy 4-second soft lip touch? It was clear that the ages truthfully nothing to do with the “outrage” — it was 100% religious bullshit and their “distaste” to see a same-sex couple kiss.

    3. Again with this, as with the “Humans of New York” boy, few contemplate the difficulty of how a boy should identify if he is attracted to other boys, as opposed to being attracted (or not attracted) to men. In my personal experience, most boys who are attracted to other same aged or slightly younger boys end up not being “gay” but either continue to like boys, or end up married to women (if they had an attraction to women to begin with).

The Fosters is an LGBT creation, which offers no template for boys to parse the conflicting messages they get from our present day “social construction” of feminism.

  6. Good old Jimmy Carter has it spot on, unfortunately most amerikunts are too dumb to know what an oligarchy is!

    1. kinkynuts:
“Good old Jimmy Carter has it spot on”

It’s nice that you agree with him (and btw, I do as well — above). But, why do you always insist on posting such verbal trash and continue to show us your non-stop social stupidity with what you said after that?

        1. “Must be not having got over that infamous tea party so long ago.”

So that’s why he’s so ANTI-American. Must be still pissed we threw all of it in the bay …. he can’t get over all that “iced tea” going to waste.

      1. Because trolling you is so easy, your moronic responses make me chuckle over my morning coffee and also prove my point.

As to thinking you “won” the War of Independence, you country is controlled by 33rd degree freemasons and who is the head mason ?

You are a vassal state, always have been and always will be especially if that cretin with the dead cat on his head becomes prez.

        1. @kinkynik
“-cretin with the dead cat on his head becomes prez.”
          ~Doubt that’ll ever happen he’ll self destruct first٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

        2. @kinkynuts:
“Because trolling you is so easy”

It’s about time you finally admitted to all of milkboys that you’re nothing but a fucking troll — and your asinine comments to me are nothing more than a conduit for trolling against America because you (personally) are so fucking jealous of what we (as a nation) have achieved even if we have made some grave foreign policy errors including some unneeded wars.

Again, thanks for admitting to your mental deficit. And the remaining of the above reply to me proves exactly that.

          1. pmsl, you really are a total farckin cretin.

Jealous of the union of the scared and atrocious ???

I’ve been to your open sewer of a country a couple of times, the second time by accident I hasten to add and there is nothing there I covet.

I am an English Gentleman, I have won the lottery of life !

          2. “I am an English Gentleman,”

What a fucking laugh! You are NO“gentleman” — you don’t even know what a “gentleman” is but you are a trashy troll … just as you admitted to.

        3. And your country is headed by a woman who is the product of the “correct” sperm.

          Twat.

      2. Because he’s a fucking arrogant little Englander who thinks the world should thank them all for the “Brutish” Empire.

        Fuck him.

        1. @whiterabbit:

You, Sir, are a true gentleman and in the same league as our “quiet” founding father: Thomas Paine. If you don’t “get” this, then I invite you to read his first true document for America:
          Common Sense

And, after you finish reading that, then I encourage you to read his best work:
The Age Of Reason (if you haven’t already done so — but it’s worth a second read as well).

          Thank you.

  7. JERUSALEM > Mainstreaming homosexuality is still too big a leap for some. Times change, sometimes people do too. We’ll see.

PUTIN’S RUSSIA > I’m a big fan of straight pride and an even bigger fan of straight sex, after all, without that, where would hot, gay, twink boys come from?

GERMANY > Penboy’s gonna just love this: While the German government is secular, with a separation of church and state, there is no separation of churches and state. Germans pay a church tax which provides the nation’s religious institutions with ~70% of their annual revenue. It is much the same in many other European countries, like Sweden and Italy for example – a church tax is levied with the revenue going to the taxpayer’s church of choice. Perhaps that explains the reluctance of some European countries to enact marriage equality.

AUSTRALIA > For now it’s all just talk. Stop panicking. Relax. Chill. Keep Calm & Carry On.

THE FOSTERS > I have no idea what the Fosters are, I have never seen it. Between Fox News, Ancient Aliens, reruns of Star Trek TNG on BBC America, the endless astronomy and Egyptology specials on NatGeo and other science channels, and monster movies on Syfy, I have no time for silly little dramas and sitcoms and even worse, reality and amateur talent shows. Ahhh, the Lake Placid movies starring Yancy Butler – now that’s entertainment!

AUSTRALIA AGAIN > Still just talk. Stop panicking. Relax. Chill. Keep Calm & Carry On.

BRITISH CENSORSHIP > More tilting at windmills. The last gasp of official Victorian societal discretion. Everything I really need to know in life I learned from porn.

GERMANY AGAIN > Porn control, gun control, alcohol control and drug control…it’s all bullshit, all doomed to failure. It’s a paradox, it’s counter-intuitive, but people behave best when they’re free and only minimally regulated by overbearing agenda-driven statists. Push people too far, try too hard to tell people what to do, how they must think, what words they can and can’t say, what positions on issues are acceptable and what aren’t, what they get to keep and what they must give up, and you end up with revolution – electoral sometimes, real and violent other times, and either figuratively or actually, heads will roll.

JIMMY CARTER > Vote for The Donald. He’s entirely self-funded, beholden to no one. But consider this: Would you rather have a government bribed and controlled by highly qualified successful achievers and wealth creators, or one subordinated to the passions and greed of the failed and unwashed mob? An oligarchy beats a kakistocracy every time.

ANIMAL ACTIVISTS > I love animals. You can’t separate a boy and his dog – it’s a bond unlike any other, they’re best friends forever until death does them part. They have each other’s back no matter what. Mine is a full member of my family – she sits on my furniture, sleeps in my bed, eats off my china, rides in my car, and yes, I kiss her on the lips. I love other animals too – some for fun, sport and work, and some… for dinner. As I type this, a rack of BBQ baby back ribs is in my oven, about an hour away from being fall-off-the-bone tender.

About minks, and baby seals, et al: If an animal is domesticated for food, like cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys and sheep, and doomed to slaughter, I’m fine with using the whole beast. Feathers for pillows, skin for leather, tallow and other by-products for industrial lubricants and a few thousand other things. But we don’t need to raise them inhumanely and kill them just for their fur. Use the whole animal or none of it. As for hunting deer and such – an ethical hunter will eat his kill and use everything else he can. Trophy hunting is obscene unless the meat is donated, and then it’s just gross. Trapping is medieval and unconscionable.

Are animal rights activists who trespass and do what these folks do really terrorists? Of course they are. So are the tree huggers who sabotage trees with spikes with the intention of hurting loggers. So are the pirates that crew the Sea Shepherd vessels that harass Japanese whaling ships. I sympathize with their goals, but the ends do not justify the means. The solution to their objection must be democratic, achieved lawfully through legislation, or initiative and referendum. If all it takes to excuse a crime is belief in a cause – that’s a door I don’t want opened, a slope too slippery for me to navigate safely.

    1. “THE FOSTERS > I have no idea what the Fosters are, I have never seen it. Between Fox News, Ancient Aliens, reruns of Star Trek TNG … I have no time for silly little dramas and sitcoms …”

Drop that stupid and lying Fox “”””News””””, and you’ll have more time for real entertainment …. besides you really do know what The Fosters are about …..

      “Vote for The Donald.”

What!?! What happened to your undying support for Scott Walker? Could it be that he’s just like all the rest — total social idiots?

I thought you (and milkboys as well) would get a nice kick out of this one about Scott Walker:

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/03/scott-walker-just-got-punked-at-a-new-hampshire-pizza-shop/

Be sure to check out that photo of him and his two “fans” ….. :-)

      This is particularly interesting:

“It’s not unusual for activists or protesters to stop by campaign events and put candidates on the spot — but Walker faced many more than usual during a campaign stop at Theo’s late Monday morning ahead of an evening candidates’ forum.

“Elizabeth Ropp, a 38-year-old acupuncturist who works in town, brought up the millions of dollars that defense contractors spend on elections and asked what he would do to ensure those companies did not unduly sway foreign policy decisions. (Walker shifted to talking about the need for a strong military and said he will soon roll out a foreign policy plan.)

“Emma Stein, a 20-year-old college student, asked about campaign finance reform. (There’s a plan coming, he said.)

“Another 20-something asked about ending the revolving door between politics and lobbying. (“We’ll certainly come out with a plan later this year,” Walker said.)”

      Enjoy!

  9. Just read the article about the stabbing in Jerusalem. The most dangerous creature to roam the planet is a man that will use a god to justify his actions.

    1. “The most dangerous creature to roam the planet is a man that will use a ‘god’ to justify his actions.”

      Hear! Hear! Well said.

    2. “Just read the article about the stabbing in Jerusalem.”

The thing is, this is the second time this extremist religious nutjob has done it. He was just released from jail three weeks ago for doing the same thing in the 2005 gay pride parade there. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.

    1. @Proton:
God, if he exists, rest her soul”

And, that’s the entire purpose of the stabbings. Sorry, but that just goes to show you what a ridiculous and STUPID statement that truly is.

      1. @Penboy

Penboy, at the moment I’m facing a seriously deadly disease, cancer. As in possibly terminal. Doesn’t make me any more religious than before but it certainly makes me try to be more respectful of the people offering me their prayers. It also makes me less aggressive toward what you must perceive as the “lost people” who dare believe differently from you believe. Me I don’t care. They want to say “if god exists?” So be it. The only thing that will make me dangerous is if they start justifying hatred and bigotry with that god of theirs. Aside that you have absolutely no right to be a god damn idiot by refusing to respect others when they are only guilty of showing kindness. Being an atheist or agnostic doesn’t give you the right to behave like an idiotic moron.

      2. @OLD Dan:
“Aside that you have absolutely no right to be a god damn idiot by refusing to respect others when they are only guilty of showing kindness. Being an atheist or agnostic doesn’t give you the right to behave like an idiotic moron.”

The only idiotic thing is continuing to insist that there’s a “god” and [he’s] responsible for everything or [he’s] the “answer for everything” when not just science, but elementary common sense, simple logic and purposeful reasoning has not only supplied the answers to nearly everything, and proven as well that NO “god” exists or ever existed.

“God, if he exists, rest her soul”

I responded to that as I should have because that’s his subliminal way of pushing anything “god” down the throats of whoever is within “hearing” distance.

I know you’re going to argue this, but in fact, I’m sorry you’re so damn stupid about human psychology with regard to religionists and their mind-numbing attempts to instil this stupidity into everyone they come in contact with. You don’t believe this or like it? Too fucking bad.

The very reason we have all this shit religion problems throughout this world (and most definitely America included) is because of lazy-ass people like YOU who refuse to stand up and call out these fucking brainwashed religious idiots for what they really are. I’m just doing my part — and I’m not alone:
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFxC-lOEAFM

That link above represents the next generation of free thinkers — he’s 14yo at the time of that video, and his cousin is 16. They’re not sitting still and as you’ve witnessed these last few years, neither am I.

Tough shit if you don’t LIKE it.

        1. @Penboy

          Sigh………

Did you read the top of my reply? I’m this position where many go running for candles, crosses and holy water hoping to save their souls. Moi? I’m still an atheist or agnostic, who cares, I don’t care. LOL I have tons of extremely religious people around where I live that know me and on what path I’m embarking upon. They all say they are going to pray for me. Funny thing is they know that I’m gay and also that I’m atheist. Even so they still care and this is what’s so important. Gay or not, atheist or not they care.

Do I want prayers? Nah. But then what should I do? Tell them to shut up when they say they will pray or simply take it in stride and smile and respect their wishes? Now if they start bible thumping I will make sure that they know that is a big no no, respectfully.

The way you are going at it you will simply end up in a dark little corner all alone and bitter. You are now guilty of the same crime you are accusing believers. You are trying to ram down people’s throat your “beliefs” menacing intellectual fire and brimstone. Thing is that you are also a believer but in your case it’s your own cause.

I also believe in your cause but I’ll be damned before I start behaving like you. I’m dying but you can be sure I won’t be clutching on a rosary but I will accept a caring hand holding my hand at the last moment, no matter what that person’s belief is. Just so I can show respect even at the very end.

P.S.= Many times I’ve used “roots” to explain the cause of hatred, intolerance and bigotry. Root can be religion, politics, philosophical belief and on and on. All of these based upon and idea. It is the idea you must change over time and that my friend will take time. All you are creating at the moment is “martyrs” and enemies.

      3. @Penboy

        Mine is an odd perspective.

Being Israeli Jewish, I was taught the bible stories from an analytical historical viewpoint. For me, God is more of a historical figure, kind of like George Washington is to the average American.

While Christians are taught the bible as “the word of god” we were taught to analyze what was being said, to whom, and when. There are books you can place historically because we know independently that certain locations mentioned had those names at specific points in history.

Some laws, including those of what to eat, who to fuck and types of fortune telling to avoid were written for religious-political reasons because those actions were part of the religious practices of other peoples in the surrounding nations.

        and so on.

So for me, god Y is an historical figure with roughly the same body of evidence documenting him as there is of Hatshepsut, Gilgamesh and Hammurabi – why doesn’t anyone doubt their existence?

        1. @Proton (and all others):

There are fundamental flaws with the existence of God as described in the Bible.

His “appointed writers” parade him as omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, yet they mistakenly drop several clues that this isn’t the case. Using a bit of common sense, we can easily demonstrate that omniscience cannot coexist with freewill. Likewise, prayers are not truly answerable by an omniscient god because he would have already envisioned the concrete results of the future. Furthermore, this strangely gender-assigned deity spends his time giving instructions for trivial superstitious rituals rather than pertinent information for proving his existence, ceasing religious wars, or assisting his creations in their daily lives.

The bible is an incredibly fraudulent hoax to put fear into societies and provide a jewish history that simply did not exist.

          1. Earlier today I wrote a long reply only to press the wrong keys and sending it to hell. Anyway here’s an other try.

            @Penboy

Ive been wondering about something while reading your replies. Did a priest or preacher try to fiddle your diddle or did you try to fiddle his diddle and he waddled away saying no?

Let’s be honest. While I have cancer you have hate. And between the two of us, after seeing the kind of hate you have I would almost be tempted to keep my cancer instead of having your kind of hate. Your hate is blinding you and worse it will destroy you sooner than later.

Have you noticed how you go only after one religion? Well, the conglomerate called Christianity. It’s leading me to wonder how you behave with the people around you in real life. Do you try to burn down Christmas trees? Maybe even those pine scented trees for cars mistaking them for a Christmas ornament? Or are you trying to take away Christmas gifts from the little hands of kids? What about other religions? Do you eat more burgers than all the people you know just to prove there are no sacred cows?

Christopher Hitchens was sadly hated for his comments against religions yet he was respectful of other people’s beliefs even if he was brutally honest. When he would rage it was because of people dying in the name of a god, no matter what god.

A few days ago I was given a zucchini. It was from the owner of the corner store where I go. She knew what I have and wanted me to have good food. Thing is that her and her husband are deeply religious. Even the radio in the store is tuned to one of those christian music radio stations. On top of that they said that they are praying for me. Now that even if they know am an atheist and gay! What can I say, they care. So what should I do? Give back or throw away that zucchini?(They know I love to cook, eh) or give it away to some needy person? Or feed the seagulls?

Penboy, you are a fundamentalist and fundamentalism kills. While it might not kill you it will kill friendships and relationships. You are so blinded that you don’t realize you are like Don Quixote and your horse knows that you are fighting the wind yet because he has so much faith in you he is willing to follow you to the bitter end. Now that is ultimate friendship if you ask me but you don’t even realize it.

I am dying at the moment. Maybe I will get good news from next week’s biopsy and maybe it will be positive as in possibly winning The Fight but if it’s bad news so be it. I still won’t run after crucifixes and holy water or bibles. I’m still an atheist no matter how you judge me. Yet, I refuse to behave like you. I refuse to be a fundamentalist. I refuse to say buzz off to people who simply care and aren’t trying to ram their beliefs down my throat. I refuse to give up my human dignity and take away the human dignity of those around me in the name of your atheist god.

Devil is right. I was and am and still am siding with you. Know what? I shouldn’t even have brought up mu cancer in the discussion but you forced me to go that far. It’s not for getting “oh sorry about that” and what ever else but simply to make my point. I mentioned a TV series called “Closer To Truth”. I seriously hope that you and every one else here gives it a look. Just to have a new way of thinking.

“And, that’s the entire purpose of the stabbings. Sorry, but that just goes to show you what a ridiculous and STUPID statement that truly is.”

٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶Cripes, Proton said, “if he exists” and you still had to flap your gums, why don’t you just put a sock in it & hit the road!

“Being an atheist or agnostic doesn’t give you the right to behave like an idiotic moron.”
~I’m of the same school of thought, unless it’s forced down my throat I’m tolerant of all religions save for dangerous zealots of any faction whose only aim is to demean and hurt others. You already know my feelings re pb and this issue so there’s no need for a rehash. It is a shame that he can’t just sidebar his hatred and allow others their beliefs without constantly belittling what they may hold dear.

❦Sorry to hear of your illness Sir, I do wish you the best.

(re your response to Old Dan)

“I know you’re going to argue this, but in fact, I’m sorry you’re so damn stupid about human psychology with regard to religionists and their mind-numbing attempts to instil this stupidity into everyone they come in contact with. You don’t believe this or like it? Too fucking bad.”

“The very reason we have all this shit religion problems throughout this world (and most definitely America included) is because of lazy-ass people like YOU who refuse to stand up and call out these fucking brainwashed religious idiots for what they really are. I’m just doing my part —”
“Tough shit if you don’t LIKE it.”

~Seriously are you friggin demented, did you read that man’s comment? He’s stood by you the entire time he’s been posting here and the one time he suggests something slightly off your personal agenda you trash him.

You truly have no redeemable qualities, you are the embodiment of hate in your pursuit of anyone that dares mention God or religion. This is not the place for this, you need to start your own blog and stop terrorizing everyone here. I truly believe that you are one of the primary reasons for so many members leaving, (who I liked) and our now having more lurkers then commentators on this great blog.
You really are a piece of work sometimes!

    @Old Dan:
“Did a priest or preacher try to fiddle …….”

That was really an ignorant low-blow. But, since you asked, NO, I had nothing to do with any catholic (or any other) priests or pastors, etc. My mother tried to be the “good catholic mother” since her oldest brother WAS a priest in New Orleans (suburb). And, NO, I did nothing with him in any way. When I was between 11 and 14 and after dealing with the ignorant method of the catholic mass, I would ask the priest questions and be continually told some LIE or even outright telling me to “Shut up and “trust” [my] “inner faith.” When my mother finally realized that catholicism wasn’t going to happen with me, she pawned me off for Sundays with our neighbors who attended a southern baptist church in our city. I can only assume that if the forced catholicism wouldn’t work, then it was time “tough intervention.” That was even worse in my eyes but, to the baptists’ credit, they showed they understood the importance of youth social life and what food can do. Then I was sent to a very private, religious boarding school (my high school). They claimed to be “non-denominational,” but, in fact, were every bit southern baptists — their methods were identical to the baptists in my home town. And here, as well, I was repeatedly told to “Shut up and “trust” [my] “inner faith” (Texans don’t have any problem telling children to “shut up!” and a few other choice things).

“While I have cancer you have hate.”

My “hate” is for the ideology of all religions as well as hate for what they continually LIE about and FORCE people to do — all for their own benefit, NOT the public’s. What I also “hate” is how religions (churches) respond to questions and how they treat the people who genuinely seek an answer. They are incredibly insensitive to anyone in the public arena and most importantly, the children who are naturally curious to ask questions.

“And between the two of us, after seeing the kind of hate you have …”

What you see here in milkboys is ONLY how I respond to anyone who attempts to further push the LIES about any “god” and their religions and how I respond to those who (because of their indoctrination) parrot the subliminal messages they have “learned” from their church people as well as their parents and other relatives.

I do not and will never apologize for my responses to these people.

And people like YOU are just like the religious by reversing the blame and bullying and trying to make it like YOU are the “innocents.” I will never “fall” for that tactic now because I’ve made myself feel “guilty” for too many years prior to my “coming out” as a PURE ATHEIST (since the first election results of GW Bush). Through my years, I’ve experienced way too much “double-speak” by not only the religious, but also from “types” like YOU. And that’s the reason I’ve labelled you a “wimpy agnostic.”

“Have you noticed how you go only after one religion?”

That’s bullshit. I “attack” ALL of them. But, since here in America, it’s mostly the christian creationists, evangelicals, then I address them more often, but as anyone here can attest, I go after islam nearly just as much.

You keep putting yourself on some imaginary pedestal with statements like that (and that entire post). But, in reality, you just show a huge amount of ignorance. Then you go into incredibly STUPID comments such as this:

Do you try to burn down Christmas trees? Maybe even those pine scented trees for cars mistaking them for a Christmas ornament?

Really, Dan, just how fucking stupid are you, anyway?

“Christopher Hitchens was sadly hated for his comments against religions yet he was respectful of other people’s beliefs even if he was brutally honest.”

IF you seriously watched many of his videos (like I have), you should see what a LIE that statement really is. He ALMOST NEVER showed any “respect” for anyone’s religious/(political based on religion) beliefs and he answered them straight forward just as I do.

“When he would rage it was because of people dying in the name of a god, no matter what god.”

Again, you really have not watched many of his videos. He railed against the religious not only for above, but also for pretty much all of their ideologies, not the least being their views on sexuality and treatment of women.

“A few days ago I was given a zucchini. ……”

Do you seriously think I would advocate tossing out gifts such as that (or anything else considered practical)? Is that your point of this anecdote? Again, just how stupid are you, anyway? Of course I’m polite to others unless they start pushing their “god” views upon me. THEN I start out by saying that I don’t believe … and if they continue (an amazing amount of them do), then I “pounce” on them with their own “weapon” — THE BIBLE.

“Know what? I shouldn’t even have brought up [my] cancer in the discussion but you forced me to go that far.”

NO, you shouldn’t have, and that’s a method the religious always grab onto. And “forced you to go that far” — that’s total bullshit — I didn’t FORCE ANYTHING FROM YOU. And since you hit me with a low-blow, I’ll respond in kind: Maybe you do have cancer and maybe you don’tThis is the Internet, after all.

    1. From Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Eros: [with disgust] Stronger. You see? You see? Your stupid minds! Stupid! Stupid!

Jeff Trent: That’s all I’m taking from you!

      [pistol-whips Eros upside the head]

Then there is “Stupid as stupid does.”

Or The Donald using the word all over the place.

Am I to understand that Bush pushed you over the brink and that made you a pure atheist? Is that the same as a pure christian? I thought becoming an atheist or agnostic was simply because of using reason and intellectual honesty.

You said I used an ignorant low blow. Wow………… All I was doing is being sarcastic and make you even crack a smile at the thought of a little dirty sex scene that we all must have had at one time or an other. As a joke!

Of the two of us, shouldn’t I be the bitter one? After all I am dying. Really, no lies, no drama queen bull. Yet you’re the one that is so bitter. You live in a very dark place Penboy.

About that infamous zucchini anecdote it was simply showing that our lives cross the path of others sometimes in wonderful ways and other times in ways we would rather forget. At that moment they were the same as a line from a song.

Baby, in a world without pity
Do you think what I’m askin’s too much
I just want to feel you in my arms
Share a little of that human touch
Share a little of that human touch
Feel a little of that human touch
Feel a little of that human touch
Share a little of that human touch
Feel a little of that human touch
Give me a little of that human touch
Give me a little of that human touch

I know, I know, it’s a love song but who cares, it’s also about what we all need at one moment or an other. That human touch can simply be a moment of caring from a stranger.

Speaking of lows, I would dare say you certainly aren’t a slouch yourself. Oh well.

      1. Dan:

I just came across this and think you might “like” it (or at least think about it):

        Stephen Colbert, I Am America:
“Agnostics are just Atheists without balls.”

Pretty much what I’ve been saying about you all along, right?

  15. @Preacher Penboy
” And since you hit me with a low-blow, I’ll respond in kind: Maybe you do have cancer and maybe you don’t — This is the Internet, after all.”

☞You are unbelievable, you act like its the first time someone suggested you may have been diddled or fiddled by a priest on this site. No one debates that you have serious issues regarding this issue no matter what the original source, the question is do you have humanity, a moral compass, or is this ‘all’ you are?
Just because this is the internet doesn’t mean everyone lies, I’ve read your tripe for four years and rest assured you’ve come up with some winners but I’ve seen enough to know certain items,(by repetition alone) must have been the truth.

There’s no point in Old Dan making such a statement had it not been true; he most certainly wasn’t seeking sympathy from you…he knows better!
You’re an ass sometimes and have been since you joined milkboys half a decade ago.

    1. Little baby devilena:

All of your post was total garbage — just as expected from not only a stupid idiot, but also one of the most immature people on this site. But, I’ll respond to this:
“There’s no point in Old Dan making such a statement had it not been true;”

That’s correct and I knew that when I posted my response. But ALSO, there was NO POINT in him saying what he did about a priest “diddling” me or whatever — after all the posts I’ve put up here. I was simply making the OPPOSITE statement that he did.

I know, you won’t understand this with your 50+ year old immature brain. But think about it if you can. If you couldn’t understand my original post to you criticizing the dancing technique of Jamie Bell in the movie, Billy Elliot, and you consistantly don’t comprehend any other posts since because of your immaturity.

  16. @pb
~Seriously you can be a joke sometimes. Bringing up the Jamie Bell comment is totally irrelevant because in your eyes you’re always right no matter what anyone says.
You state that I’m immature but it’s you that calls other’s names over nothing and you that played tit for tat with Old Dan over old news,(to us) while his statement was ever so much more serious and life defining. Your cruel words used to bother me but no longer. Your own inflated self worth plus foul mouth, callous disrespect, and bullying attitude towards others is more than proof of your minimal value to all but you yourself. The only thing that really balls me is that there are so few that are willing to put you in your place…oh yeah I forgot you chased them all away!

    1. @Old Dan
❦As you wish Sir, my apologies to you and the other respectful milkboys members.

Just one [out of many] example:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sEcBzxoMB8

[re: islam] “Don’t waist my time … it’s bullshit”

I present that video just to show YOU that I have no reason to “respect one’s religion or ideology”.

    1. This is even more direct:

Christopher Hitchens, The Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Nonbeliever:

“I have met some highly intelligent believers, but history has no record to say that [s/]he knew or understood the mind of god. Yet this is precisely the qualification which the godly must claim —— so modestly and so humbly —— to possess. It is time to withdraw our ‘respect’ from such fantastic claims, all of them aimed at the exertion of power over other humans in the real and material world.

  18. I am astounded at the vitriol displayed by Penboy.

He clearly has way too much time on his hands.

I thought us faggots were supposed to be loving and nurturing towards other gay men, whether we share their life-philosophy or not.

  19. @(You can call me …)Al:
“I am astounded at the vitriol displayed by Penboy.”

Interesting that you just throw out an umbrella of accusation — why can’t you be more specific? How am I showing “vitriol” to a person and just not toward their ideology? And before you ignorantly state some of my replies, don’t forget to consider what it is exactly I’m replying to.

So, why exactly would you say what you did … unless of course, you’re pretending to be “offended” by my anti-religiosity and not understanding why I’m saying these things? Could it be that I’m just presenting the truth against the religious falsehoods? And if you differ, then state precisely just what it is that you think is “vitriol” (if you can).

All I’m trying to present here is that we not only should, but need to show more intellect when discussing “emotional” subjects like “god”/religion. And how I “detest” the display of ignorant religiosity as opposed to true intellect (no matter on what level it’s shown).

Here’s something you might like and should definitely consider:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeapiqKBWWI

This is the shortest version of his talk that I found on YouTube

(I fully expect that you won’t “understand” what I’m trying to show you, simply because of the verr ignorant first line of your comment.) But, good luck.
