Hate Preacher arrested on Charges of Child Molestation

Many bullies targeting queer kids are actually struggling with their own sexuality, that’s a fact not only well known among high-school students but also a phenomenon we witness over and over again within the church. You could fill a daily blog with the cases of pastors and preachers who had their anti-gay crusade somewhat undermined by the fact that they got caught watching gay porn, paying call boys or, far too often, molesting kids.

Which is why no one seems too surprised about the newest chapter in this history of hypocrisy: Ken Adkins was happy to mock the victims of the terrible massacre in an Orlando gay club earlier this year by tweeting “I don’t see none of them as victims. I see them as getting what they deserve”. He also fought vigorously  against expanding the Human Rights Ordinance in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, to include LGBTI people.

Now the pastor and conservative political activist has to deal with his own demons as he was arrested Friday morning on charges of child molestation and aggravated child molestation involving a boy under the age of 16. His Twitter account has been set to private since.

  1. Unfortunately, this happens way too often. But what makes it worse, is that the “congregations” are quick to make excuses for them: “God is working out his demons”, etc. “But we still love him and he can come back and preach to us again, … soon.”

    What happened? RELIGIOUS PRIVILEGE

Btw, this happens even more with muslim imans (and of course, at least half the males 16 and older who haven’t married yet). The primary difference? They never make it public and punish them.

Sounds like a good project for someone! Any takers?

    1. I tried to make a list of kids killing themselves because of bullying and hatred. I gave up because it was getting far too much depressing.

  3. Really disgusting, but unfortunately only too common. If you didn’t already hate religions for forcing us to believe in their fairy (he he!) stories, this outcome of sexual repression is another argument against their lost cause.

The guy is in a Georgia jail, hopefully he’ll get his fulfillment of gay sex there before his court appearance on Monday…

Now, back to this cute Narcissus pedo statue in the other post… ;)

  4. While the “age of consent” isn’t the real subject here, suffice it to say that it’s pretty hard to ‘molest’ a 16 year old boy – you can’t molest the willing. I knew what I wanted when I was 16, and to be honest since I was 11 or12, and the sexual attentions of an experienced adult would have been eagerly accepted. Our sex laws need a major reformation starting with the repeal of most of them.

Back to the subject at hand – it’s pretty much an established fact that virulent homophobes are generally closet cases. This counter-intuitive phenomenon is almost unique among haters, the only similar relationship exists among haters of Christianity – many of them, like Penboy – end up passionate converts and defenders of the faith. For example, Saul of Tarsus who persecuted the early church, but became Saint Paul the Apostle. Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.

    1. He’s under 16, it doesn’t say what age. A different article I read (which I can’t find now) estimated his age at around 10

    2. He was under 16, not 16. And he came forward himself saying he was molested so I doubt he did anything voluntary.

Age of consent is a topic worth discussing but not the subject here, if someone gets raped it doesn’t matter how old they are, rape is rape no matter the age of the victim and implying that the victim probably wanted it is more than just a bit icky.

This where you’re not only talking out of your ass, you’re proving yourself to be nothing more than a crazy and stupid apologist that will say anything to defend the LIES of your PARENTS and other family members along with every other church person.

Convert? Never in million years. I’m not that fucking STUPID and have known for most of my life the PURE FABRICATION of “god,” “jesus christ,” and every other biblical characters — NOT real persons. And I have REAL HISTORIANS to back this up along with MOST INTELLIGENT SCIENTISTS.

As soon as we can get rid of this fucking RELIGIOUS PRIVILEGE in this country, we will stop the continuous brainwashing of the very young children (through at least 16 years old) and therefore finally see the demise of ALL “religions” — which aren’t that at all, but in reality, socio-political ideologies in their never ending quests to control EVERY SOCIETY IN ANY WAY THEY CAN ACHIEVE THIS GOAL.

          1. Wow – look at Penn. His face has gotten so thin. Has he just lost weight or is he sick? I like him, and I hope he’s well.

I disagree with him about hating Islam but not Muslims. Islam hurts no one, but Muslims hurt everybody – even their fellow Muslims. It makes no sense to hate an idea, but perfect sense to hate the deadly and dangerous manifestations of that idea – and those manifestations are people. Mein Kampf, and the Communist Manifesto are just books. They are harmless, inanimate objects. But the folks who act on them and in behalf of their ideas are anything but harmless and richly deserving of my hatred. Muslims too. And it’s not racism in any way – since Muzzies come in all colors, even mine. If there are benign, harmless Muslims out there, I don’t care, I consider them the same as a benign tumor – fine for now, but…
And don’t give me any nonsense about being a nativist or Xenophobe, I have no problem with either, and besides, Xenophobia isn’t wrong if they really are barbarians, and regarding Muslims, they really, really are.

    4. “Haters of christianity”??? Damn that almost made me fall off my chair. While I have a sore point toward Penboy you really don’t seem to understand him or me. We don’t hate christianity. We hate religion, final. There isn’t one damn religion that hasn’t been used to justify mass murder and genocide. So, just accuse us of being equal opportunity haters.

      1. “While I have a sore point toward Penboy you really don’t seem to understand him or me. We don’t hate christianity. We hate religion, final.

I’m not sure if you really meant, “christians” (the people) OR “christianity” (the ideology). This was brought to my attention in sharper detail when I read the excellent book, Fighting God: An Atheist Manifesto For a Religious World by David Silverman. I do hate theism (the ideology); but it’s only a “sub-hate” of ALL RELIGIONS. I don’t HATE the theists, nor do I feel sorry for them (past the age of 18, anyway), because it’s a choice they made on their own when many of them have had access to proper education on this matter — including the Internet. Of course I’m talking about in the Western World where secularism education is available (again, over 18 y.o.). And what’s worse are the apologists who should (and probably do — listening, horsey?) know better — the real truth about “god” and religions yet continue in the face of positive proof and accepted knowledge defend these asinine ideas.

        1. @Penboy

Found the PDF online. Will be reading it as soon as I stop playing Spintires. :-P

  5. Our sex laws do indeed need a major reform, but I don’t see that happening any time soon. There are, after all, too many people out there thinking that “abstinence only” is a viable program of sex education.

“I disagree with him about hating Islam but not Muslims. Islam hurts no one, but Muslims hurt everybody – even their fellow Muslims.”

Again, you have it ass backwards, as you always do when spouting about religions.

While, yes, muslims do the actual physical harm, the fact is they wouldn’t be that way without the socio-political idelogies within their “religion.” They terrorize and kill those against “their society” because of those ideas. Without them, they would be harmless.

“It makes no sense to hate an idea, but perfect sense to hate the deadly and dangerous manifestations of that idea”

It makes perfect sense to hate the ideas, because it’s what is passed on to their public that causes all the turmoil and chaos. And it’s not just those ignorant ideas, it’s the manifestation that “their ‘god’ [‘allah’]” is “perfect” and also the entire CAUSE of their terrible economies and infrastructures. Do a few countries appear to be “economically good?” Yes, but only because you don’t look deeper into their societies — that they actually steal every social and scientific ideas that they choose to think is “good.”

Every single islam-controlled country not only has a deep economic and infrastructure chasm, it’s educational system is a total failure. Just because it “looks good on the outside” doesn’t mean it isn’t (or hasn’t already) crumbled to pieces. And most of them show outright their educational failures.

No, it’s most definitely their ideology that gets them to strap a bomb vest onto a 12 year old boy and go to a wedding and kill over 50 people including himself. And, yes, not only can we blame their “religion,” we need to forcefully destroy it and as soon as possible.

We have now entered into a UNDECLARED (as yet) World War III and we won’t be “successful” until we destroy every islam-controlled government and therefore destroy islam.

Then we need to destroy christianity, judaism, mormonism, scientology and jehovah’s witness within our own boarders (as a start) — and the sooner, the better for the world.

We (America) need to stop this hypocrisy of privileging religions in this country but attack them outside the borders. We need to eliminate them in this country just as soon as we can.

    1. The ideology spelled out in works like the Koran, Mein Kampf, and the Communist Manifesto are harmless in and of themselves. It takes a personal decision to access them, comprehend them, and than act on them that is dangerous. I place 100% of the responsibility for the damage done by Islam, Nazism and Marxism on each and every individual who accepts what is in those works as true and right and behaves accordingly.

We are not in disagreement here, the only debate is at what point responsibility and accountability are assigned. You place it with the temptation, ie: the ideology in the religion, I place it with the person accepting it and giving-in to it.

I believe we all have free will, to pick and choose at our discretion what we will and won’t agree with, accept, and do. That’s why I’m a “Cafeteria Catholic” and not an orthodox one. There are some church traditions, dogmas, and positions I am at odds with, and some I am delighted to accept. I don’t buy excuses like peer pressure, mob mentality, herd mentality, and other excuses for watering down or abandoning one’s individuality – personal responsibility for both commissions and omissions rests entirely with each of us and not with the actions of others or their beliefs.

Makes one wonder about politics. “Democracy is the pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.” – H. L. Mencken
      Hmmmm.

      1. “A church is a place in which gentlemen who have never been to heaven brag about it to persons who will never get there.”

  7. ~Religion is like a penis. It’s fine to have one and it’s fine to be proud of it, but please don’t whip it out in public and start waving it around… and PLEASE don’t try to shove it down our throats!

    1. Penboy!
