Greyson Chance (remember about him?) just released his new music video. And while this kind of generic pop is really not my thing, it’s nice to see that he’s still making music even though he seems to have the same difficulties as Ronan Parke when it comes to translating the amazing voice they impressed the world with into a unique brand now that they’re getting older.

  1. ❦I remember him as a sweet boy with a great voice and some real musical talent first on YouTube then on the Ellen Show.
~Seems as if first thing boys do when they hit a certain age is scalp their hair and push the I’m a man now look.
The song was fine I suppose, (he’s still got range) but having him portray a guy who’s drinking, smoking, driving a fast car, and living in a exotic house while mooning over some love interest at eighteen,(19 in Aug.) I just don’t know. Definitely don’t think that’s the real him IMO. Suppose he’s just playing a role but still… Wish him the best regardless!

  2. Except for the absolutely terrible falsetto, the song is pretty good. I’ve mentioned this before about his falsetto “ability” — there is none. But his normal voice is enjoyable to listen to.

I’m curious if that’s his personal Challenger R/T. Just curious. But if I were wealthy enough to afford “that”, I’d choose an original hardtop, not a “cheap” bad replica because it’s new. But, that’s just me.

  3. That’s it though…
    Generic pop….

All these guys and girls who can sing but do not achieve much success.
Obviously, it needs a lot more than cute looks and singing ability to grab peoples’ emotions and set the house on fire.

I’m fed up there is not yet any replacement for the hugely talented wonderful rock singers and rock bands that existed from the 60s up to the 90s.

    But HEY !!
The Who are in San Diego in a few days …. YIPPEE !!!

    1. “The Who are in San Diego in a few days”

The Who ….. or The Guess Who? :-)

(Or is it just a Great Horned Owl hooting to the crowd?)

The Guess Who with famed Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings had a lot of great hits, back in the day. When playing at the White House for the Nixon’s, they were asked not to play their biggest hit ‘American Woman’. Most people don’t realize it was actually an anti-war protest song, and not some chauvinistic rant.

Yes, they did. Just one of my favorites is These Eyes of Spring, 1969.

Interesting statement. Although I would amend that to “from the 60s up to the mid-80s.” About 30 years or so …. but starting around 1957.

  4. None of these gorgeous, talented, and clueless boys are going to really make it alone – Greyson, Ronan, Troye, and a couple of others need to unite in a new boy-band, hire a savvy manager, and allow themselves to be directed to the stardom they’ll never, ever find on their own.

And would you have a good NAME for this boy band to gain stardom?

  5. I have always been so attracted to Greyson both when he was a little tike and now that he’s 7′ tall, even if I don’t listen to his music. He seems to have a thing for boots and hightop sneakers, it must be said.

    1. “when he was a little tike and now that he’s 7′ tall

Too bad he decided to sing for a career … when he could have been the next white basketball “star”.

  6. Look up Braiden Sunshine (last year, The Voice.) He has the real voice the others of his generation are lacking.
